Joshua Laycock 
Joshua Started his career over 10 years ago working with a multi-national insurance brokerage in Toronto as a broker and client executive in the Financial Institution and Professional Service industry practice. His clients included some of Canada’s largest institutions in the banking and insurance sectors. After six years he moved to the underwriting side, joining The Guarantee’s Vancouver office with a focus on driving growth in the Directors’ and Officers’ Liability and Fidelity portfolios.

In December of 2015 Joshua moved back home to Toronto to assume the role of National Fidelity Product Manager, responsible for the maintenance and development of underwriting standards, training, marketing, business development, distribution, product innovation and supporting strategies for Canada’s second largest Fidelity insurance portfolio.

In addition to being an insurance professional, he is a writer and public speaker. He has a BComm from the University of Toronto and holds the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designations.


Douglas Santos 

Information Technology and CyberSecurity professional with over 18 years of experience in planning, configuring, deploying and managing information and cybersecurity solutions from different vendors. In the last years was a key player in designing Anti-DDoS solutions for all Brazilian Carriers, Large Financial Institutions and Enterprises.

Working for Fortinet for the last two years as one of the key sales engineers in Brazil involved with pre sales activities on all Brazilian carriers, actively promoting Fortinet solutions from the SOC to the Mobile Backhaul. As a Security Strategist for LATAM has done research on the threat landscape for Brazil and produced regional quarterly threat reports that had nationwide reach and recognition, being cited on major security and information technology websites as well as traditional media. Does research and writes about rising threats that target business worldwide, providing insight for corporations around the globe on how to detect and respond to these threats.
