SPEAKERS:
Robert Kennedy - Farris
Robert practises defence litigation with an emphasis on university, sports, recreation and adventure tourism cases. He has wide experience in a number of areas of litigation practice including insurance, occupier’s liability, municipal liability, university law, personal injury, product liability and professional errors and omissions including medical and dental malpractice and hospital liability claims. Robert is actively involved as defence counsel for the outdoor commercial recreation and adventure tourism industry in British Columbia.

Richard Rainbow - JLT
Richard is a Partner in JLT's Specialty Practice. He forms part of the Sport, Media and Entertainment Division based out of the United Kingdom in London. Richard is heavily involved in the MSA (Motor Sports Association) in the UK. Specializing in designing and placing programs for vast clientele, Richard continues to advocate for his industry.  

Sandy Millar - JLT
As part of JLT's global Sport & Hospitality Group, his focus is on risk management and insurance solutions for organizations in this unique space. Sandy has been with JLT Canada’s Sport & Hospitality group since 2013. His unique approach with clients is informed by 15 years of insurance experience as well as over 25 years of related work directly in the sport and recreation industries.Whether its a destination ski resort, a high-end backcountry heli-ski lodge, a national sport organization, a major sports venue or an NFP cultural group, his focus is on helping clients manage and reduce their total cost of risk.

Bruno De Vita - Alexander Holburn
Bruno is Alexander Holburn’s Managing Partner. He practises in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance law, municipal liability, class action and personal injury litigation. His clients include major insurance companies, self-insured corporations, local governments, religious institutions and athletic associations. Since 2000, Mr. De Vita has been recognized annually by The Canadian Lexpert Directory as a leading Canadian practitioner in the field of commercial insurance litigation. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the publication, Best Lawyers in Canada, each year since its inception in 2006 for Insurance Law. In 2016, Mr. De Vita was appointed Deputy Chair of the Investigatory Chamber of the Independent FIFA Ethics Committee. In 2015, Mr. De Vita was appointed as an arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he is a member of the general panel and the football panel.
